HOMECOMING

Sorry i did not blog earlier. I went out of town right after we were done with homecoming. Ladies, I thought this homecoming was fantastic!!! You all pulled together to make it memorable for your school. The rally was a lot of fun. I'm not sure anyone else could have pulled off a Halloween rally like the cheerleaders. Our dance looked absolutely gorgeous! I woke up on Sunday morning just thinking about how pretty it was in there. I have no doubt no one decorates a dance like the cheerleaders. The only bad part about doing all this is that the kids think this all magically appears. The time and effort and money are lost on everyone. No one will ever realize how much time, work, and dedication goes into this time of year. All the prep and then being able to pull it all off. Truly remarkable. Most remarkable is that is basically put all together by teenagers. I think that is the best part. I know the parents are right there with you supporting your crazy hours and crazy tasks, but they have to very proud of what you have accomplished. They know what it took to get all this done. They deserve a great big thank you for giving you all the support they did. Not just the parents that physically helped out but the parents too that tried to understand the demanding schedule homecoming can bring. thank you parents for understanding. I've been there. I know it's not fun to let your young teenager not get enough sleep and out at all hours of the night. Parents of my captains. Can you believe all the stuff your girls did?!? The captains made sure all was done that needed to be done. They had baskets, shirts, posters, and props to make sure got done. That doesn't even begin to cover the scope of responsibility they had. They deserve the biggest pat on the back from everyone. Juniors, I hope you paid attention. That will be you next year! I'm so proud of my squad! I no longer have newbies. Now that football season is coming to a close. My hope for this squad now is to relax. Enjoy the last little bit of your year. Seniors, it's going to go quick. I'm going to miss you girls terribly =,( It's been a sad year for me with my Dad being extremely ill and my Mother in law dying. But the one thing that always snapped me out of a funk was my girls. This years squad made me love my job as a coach. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Coach Christie

HOMECOMING = JOB WELL DONE :-)
Ladies, I am extremely proud of all of you. Parents of these great teenagers, you should be PROUD!!! Some of you new parents, you probably didn't realize what a commitment this would be......but believe me, it is all WORTH IT!!!! You have all put in alot of time and energy to this football season, which includes Homecoming, and just think...you have next year to look forward to it as well!!!! Seniors, we expect you to come back next year and help, ok you don't HAVE to, but it would be alot of FUN. Anyway girls, I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate all of you. The hard work is over....YEE HAA!!!!

Thank You
Thank You Christie, and all the girls on the VARSITY CHEER SQUAD for the beautiful flowers. They are really pretty. Christie you do an amazing job with these girls. I know sometimes it is really hard and you just want to give it all up, but look at the RESULTS!!!! Look at your seniors, and think where they were when they first started with you as either sophmores or juniors. They have all come a long way, personally and CHEERFULLY!!!! (ha ha). But in all seriousness, Christie you are a great coach, and you seriously do alot for these girls, they may not realize it now, but some day they will. Thanks again for the flowers :~)

I first wanted to say thank you to all you girls you really came through when it was needed the most. I know for some of the sophomores and the new juniors (and new senior) it came as a shock just how much we do. And the returners.. its still hard and stressful but at least we had somewhat of a heads up. Christie was saying how no one but us knows how much work it takes to pull off everything we do during homecoming, but honestly i don't think all of you girls even realize how much of an asset you are to the squad. It gets hard to take a whole week and have your life be nothing but homecoming but if you let it, it can be really self rewarding. I think it kind of helps us learn how to do things that will benefit the majority even if it is not what we may have wanted for ourselves. But im rambling so.. I think we all owe more thanks we could ever give to Christie. She not only does everything we do and more, she has to deal with all of us when we have gotten very little sleep and are at the peak of our attitudes. You do soo much work behind the scenes and it must be really hard to do everything that you do for us then feel completely unappreciated. I'm still not really sure how you do it.. Then there's Jewels. Honestly, youre just nuts. You just stick around and are always there to help us and thank you! i dont know what we would do if you werent around to keep Christie sane (well as sane as one crazy person can keep another crazy person). I mean you two really think about it :: A bunch of TEENAGE GIRLS. Both of those words are super scary. But you guys just keep on keepin on, luckily for us. So you guys deserve something super awesome like a lifetime supply of marbles to replace all the ones youve lost over the past few years. I dont really remember what ive covered and havent covered and i really dont feel like going back and rereading it all and probably like two people will even make it this far anyhow so just thank you all so much!!! I'm glad things have turned around as much as they have. I love you all!! See you soon!

Homecoming
Christie... YOU are the backbone of this squa d. The girls are a reflection of your outs tanding example you set and your expe ctations. You are a very rare find!!! My niec e is also in cheer at her high school in San Dieg o. The stories I hear about the coach , the squa d and the lack of organization would make you ill! !! I am so proud to have my girls on your squa d. I bragg about you all the time!!! I wish that all coaches had your philosophy, your caring atti tude and energy. At this stage in life, It is s o important for the kids to have a positive roll model. I want to thank you over and over for what you do/done for my girls and the squad. Thes e special years will be remembered very high ly by my girls. Thankyou, Thankyou, Ter e sa? ??

WOW
I am over whelmed by the comments on here! Like Julie said I do struggle with things sometimes. It's just cause I'm old. But truley in all honesty I wouldn't still be coaching if it wasn't for the wonderful girls i have on my squads year after year. This year especially has been a lot of fun. I know you've all had some drama but what squad doesn't. As long as you all know that at the end of the day, you have all pulled together and worked together to reach the goals that have been put in front of you. I think this squad looks excellent when you cheer and when you dance. That means you've taken your squad and your job as a cheerleader serious. I mean really, if we don't who will, right? Your energy is contagious. Your dedication has been a huge benefit for everyone at the school. My outgoing seniors will be hugely missed, but my returners will be the new back bone of this squad. I think you might have your work cut out next year but we'll pull together like we always do, because you all have pride in yourselves and you want to be proud of your squad and takes dedication and commitment. None of which is a shortage with this squad!!! I said I was spoiled last year, well I was really spoiled this year! Parents, i really want you know how much i appreciate you. Without great cheer parents we could not have a successful cheer year. A lot of coaches don't coach very long because they have difficult parents. I've only experienced that a couple times in my coaching career. Not fun! 99% of the time I've had the best parents. I think you're all raising some amazing kids. Teresa, that made me cry =) thank you for your kind words. What really counts are the kids. The girls on this squad have done an amazing job all year. They really want to please their coach. That says a lot about how they are raised. They know how to give and get respect. It's a wonderful thing =)If they don't have respect for their parents and siblings at home, there's no way I'm going to get it. I have such a great group of girls I can't say it enough. Love you all!!!!! Coach Christe
